Personal Testimonies of Personal Progress

I have been privileged to serve the Young Women for the past few years. I love being able to be with the youth. They are so vibrant, happy, and fun. They also are grounded and inspiring. They dream, think, and teach me so much.

Watch this video of some of the young women from my ward bearing their testimonies of the Personal Progress Program. These young women are amazing.

  1. Very sweet. I’m trying to get my 14 year old excited about Personal Progress, and I’ve realized that it is a sacrifice of time, especially on her part, but well worth the sacrifice. It is also a “volunteer” program, unlike school work, which is always given priority. I’ve encouraged her to set aside a little bit of time on Sundays to go over her PP and evaluate her goals, and I’m available to help her with whatever she needs.

    1. Thanks for the comment. It is good that you are encouraging her. Even though parents shouldn’t do personal progress, I’ve noticed (as a leader), that the young women who have parents that encourage personal progress are usually more apt to do it.

Also – you can do it, too. I keep feeling that having “personal” conversations about personal progress may help. Instead of nagging, it may be good to share your own experiences…

Awesome video! My five girls did it, but I wasn’t really involved since they were fortunately self-motivated. Now that I’m back in the YW as the Beehive leader, I’m doing it myself and I love it!
